A little bit about your teacher...
Ms A holding a golden eagle in Mongolia
July, 2011
Hello,
My name is Ms. Andrea Aeschlimann. You can call me Ms. Aeschlimann (pronounced: A-shle-men) or Ms. A for short. I teach 6th and 7th grade science at the Rumney Marsh Academy in Revere, MA. I enjoy teaching science. I especially love teaching geology (the study of rocks). I went to college at the University of Vermont to study sociology and psychology. In 2011, I received a Masters degree in Science Education from Northeastern University and in 2013, I earned my Masters degree in Moderate Special Needs.
My favorite thing to do is travel. During the summer of 2011, my husband Bruce and I drove 10,000 miles from London England to Ulaan Bataar, Mongolia for a charity event called the Mongol Rally. During our trip, we passed through 22 different countries, met hundreds of very interesting people, and saw some of the most amazing places in the world. During the summer of 2013, we bicycled 2100 miles from Paris, France to Istanbul, Turkey for our honeymoon.
When I am not traveling or teaching, I am usually home playing with my two cats Molly and Killwillie. They like to sit in my lap while I read.
I am very excited to get to know all of my new students this year and to see the wonderful science fair projects you will all create!
See you in class,
Ms. Aeschlimann
